Workshop "Who Does What"
Prior to the workshop we will send workshop attendees (via email)
--Instructions for creating a Kindle publishing account on Amazon.com
--Instructions for creating a Draft2Digital (D2D) publishing account
--Instructions for setting user preferences in MS Word
--A list of required metadata elements for you to write and bring in an electronic file to the workshop
Workshop attendees will
--Bring a wifi-ready laptop loaded with MS Word and an electronic file of your book manuscript in either Word or plain text (Note: We do not provide computers for this workshop.)
--(Prior to workshop) have established an Amazon Kindle publishing account
--(Prior to workshop) have established a Draft2Digital (D2D) publishing account
--(Prior to workshop) complete the pre-workshop instructions for setting user preferences in MS Word (on the laptop)
--(Prior to workshop) follow pre-workshop instructions to write the required elements of your book's metadata (on the laptop)
--Be able to access their Kindle and D2D publishing accounts (Please verify your login and password before the workshop.)
Important Note: You will not be able to participate in many of the workshop exercises if your laptop is not wifi ready. Please acquaint yourself with the process of connecting to a wireless Internet connection and check your laptop's ability to connect to a wireless Internet connection prior to attending the workshop.

--Step-by-step discussion and instructions covering all aspects of Kindle publishing
--A folder on your laptop's desktop containing the workshop's procedures, examples, and aids
--Beverages and a light lunch
